  Marty DeGroot is R&D Director for DuPont Industrial Solutions, leading global teams that provide innovative solutions for aerospace, transportation, healthcare, display, electronics and several other applications. Prior to his current role, Marty spent more than a decade working as an innovator and leader in fields of catalysis, solar cells and modules, and chemical mechanical planarization and cleans technologies to enable advanced semiconductor nodes. Marty holds a PhD in chemistry from Western and has 15 years’ experience in industrial materials innovation and product development. Marty has more than 30 granted U.S. patents and more than 25 scientific publications. He was a winner of the ACS Heroes of Chemistry Award for his work in product development in Chemical Mechanical Planarization.
