  Fu-Ming (Fleming) Chuang received his BS degree from National Cheng Kung University in 1984 and got the Master and Ph.D. degrees from Optical-Electronic Science Institute of the National Central University Chung-Li, Taiwan, in 1986 and 1995, respectively.
  He majors in optical system design and has been continuously working on the optical industry for more than 35 years. He started his career in the military institute for optical system design, such as, Low-Light-Level (L3) imaging, Thermal imaging for the missile or surveillance system for 6 years. After that, he stepped into optics related industry, experienced with diversified optics development, such as, lens for digital camera, projection, microscopy, spectrometer, CCM lens, interferometer, imaging system, microstructure for optics, backlighting for LCD, stereo display, Optics for automotive, head-up display, head-mounted display, light field optics, etc. With his career, there are over 150 patents are granted already. One of his current research interests is the Light-Field optics and system including NED and imaging system applications.
  Dr. Chuang was former CTO of Coretronic Corp, currently founder of Swiioptics consulting service, Ltd., Senior consultant of Coretronic Corporation and vice president of 3DIDA Taiwan and board member of SID Taipei Chapter.
