Characteristic

• Fully adaptable, i.e. they adapt even to complex substrate contours such as sharp edges, holes or blind
vias
• Non-porous starting from a coating thickness of approximately 0.5 microns, no need for hole treatment
• Chemically insoluble and resistant to many chemicals
• Has very good barrier properties, resists moisture and chemicals, and has high dielectric strength
• Has dry lubrication properties (low coefficient of friction)
• Hydrophobicity: Wetting angle with H2O is between 92° and 98°
• Transparency between 90% and 96% in the visible wavelength range
• Parylenes Types C and N are biocompatible and can be certified according to USP Class VI and ISO 10993,
and can be approved by the FDA.
