RVI Showcases Innovative AI Smart Manufacturing Technology at Nvidia GTC 2025

Rayleigh Vision Intelligence (RVI), a Taiwan-based startup specializing in AI smart manufacturing and silicon photonics, drew global attention at Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC 2025) by unveiling the world’s first AI-driven MicroLED smart manufacturing technology—AI MioC.
At GTC 2025, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang officially announced the launch of the Spectrum-X Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) photonic network switch, enabling AI factory scalability to one million GPUs, while improving energy efficiency by 3.5x and boosting reliability by 10x. This cutting-edge switch leverages TSMC’s latest CPO technology. Rayleigh Vision Intelligence’s silicon photonic light source manufacturing technology was also spotlighted during the event, earning high praise from industry leaders and reaffirming the company’s leadership in the field of silicon photonic communications.
RVI’s newly launched AI MioC technology leverages advanced AI algorithms to optimize the MicroLED manufacturing process, significantly improving production efficiency and reducing costs—addressing one of the industry’s biggest bottlenecks. Moreover, the MicroLED arrays produced through this technology can also serve as highly efficient and cost-effective light sources for next-generation silicon photonic communication systems. This development demonstrates the power of “AI manufacturing AI”, creating a positive feedback loop for accelerated innovation.
RVI was founded by brothers Professor Chih-Hao Ho and Dr. Chih-Hsiang Ho, who returned to Taiwan to start the company, combining their deep expertise in silicon photonics and the semiconductor industry to drive this breakthrough. Dr. Chih-Hsiang Ho remarked, “At GTC 2025, Jensen Huang’s keynote essentially marked a pivotal announcement: the next wave of AI chip innovation will rely heavily on silicon photonics, requiring full integration of optical communication from chip-to-chip and board-to-board levels. MicroLED silicon photonics will play a key role in enhancing future CPO systems by improving integration, computing power, thermal performance, and reliability.” Professor Chih-Hao Ho emphasized the importance of strategic choices, likening RVI to “mounting a jet engine onto a race car,” symbolizing the disruptive impact this innovation could have on the industry.
The success of AI MioC not only represents a major technological breakthrough in MicroLED manufacturing but also underscores RVI’s commitment to advancing Taiwan’s technology industry on the global stage.
